18th birthday summer concerts – 17th & 18th July 2015

Strength in harmony – 18 years of the Rainbow Chorus!

It’s here! We are celebrating our 18th birthday with summer concerts over two nights at St George‘s in Brighton on the 17th and 18th of July at 7:30pm. We have gone from strength to strength and would like to thank all who have supported us over the years. As a registered charity we continue to raise awareness and promote cooperation in the LGBT choral movement and support local community organisations including Lunch Positive, Switchboard’s Older LGBT project and Mind Out. We have grown in confidence and numbers since our formation in 1997. With over 80 singers we remain a non-audition choir with a membership which spans identities and abilities.

Led by our Musical Director, Aneesa Chaudhry, and supported by accompanist Mojca Monte, we will be performing songs from our repertoire across the years including Shenandoah and True Colours and Adagio for Strings; there will be something for everyone to enjoy. Marco Nardi will provide BSL interpreting and the choir will also sing using some sign supported English.

Tickets are £12 (£10 conc) and are available from choir members or direct from Brown Paper Tickets. Doors open at 7pm.
